A martial arts program for everyone

From the school’s structured classes of varied difficulties, to its staff’s dedication to supportive, professional instruction, Columbia Tae Kwon Do attracts students of every age – from 3 to 83.

Providing keys to increase the quality of adult physical and emotional health, classes target the specific needs of men and women in today’s fast-paced world. Through extensive programs of rigorous exercise and focused relaxation techniques, adults learn valuable skills that motivate, invigorate and balance.

Younger students also discover the scope of their physical abilities, while developing a solid foundation for their emotional growth and maturity. From its commitment to authentic martial arts education, to its assistance with standard student issues such as schoolwork and social concerns, the Columbia team is dedicated to the empowerment of its students. In turn, the skills learned – confidence, respect and control – help students to grow as individuals and cope with many of the difficulties associated with adolescence, such as peer pressure.

Columbia Tae Kwon Do has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Schools in the Nation.

Master Tae Yun

Born originally in Seoul, Korea, Master Yun holds a 5th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Combat Hapkido.  He is currently the NYS Tae Kwon Do Association Vice President .  He has won gold medals at the state, regional, and national levels numerous times including the U.S. Cup. He is a certified referee for the AAU and USA Tae Kwon Do. Master Yun is a graduate of Shaker High School and Siena College.  He has recently received two  prestigious awards: The Business Review’s 40 Under Forty Award and SBA’s Business Excellence Award.
